Getting the size right when it isn't your dog

• Drying robe: sized by the dog's weight (4–45 kg across five sizes), which most owners know. Between sizes, go up.
• Coats and harnesses: need a chest measurement. If you can't ask, pick something sized by weight, or a glove or lead, which don't need a size.
