About Rainhound

Who we are

Rainhound is a small, new British company based in Kent. We're not a big retailer and we don't pretend to be — there's no call centre here. When you email us, one of us reads it and answers it.

We started with one product, a drying robe for the car, because the choice felt poor: premium kit at around £70, or cheaper robes that felt thin. We went looking for something in between — honestly priced, easy to get onto a wet dog, and ready for the amount of rain this country actually gets. The robe we chose has a waterproof backing that keeps your car seats dry and a reflective inner layer that returns your dog's own body heat.

Since then we've added a few more things for the same wet, muddy walks: a padded winter coat with a built-in harness, a bungee lead, a harness, a raincoat for small dogs and a pet hair removal glove.

Being new means we can't point to thirty years of history. What we can point to is that every order matters to us right now. Ask us a sizing question and we'll usually reply within a couple of hours. If something turns out to be the wrong size, send it back within 30 days, unused and unwashed, for a full refund.
